LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

38th Annual Meeting of the Society for Cross-Cultural Research (SCCR), held jointly with the 5th Annual Meeting of the Society for Anthropological Sciences (SASci)
February 18-21, 2009 • Las Vegas, NV

LSSFor over three decades the Society for Cross-Cultural Research (SCCR) has made unique contributions to scholarship spanning societies, nations and cultures. This meeting brings together distinguished educators from a wide range of disciplines, including: anthropology, archaeology, economics, education, evolutionary biology, family studies, political ecology, psychology and sociology. The Society for Anthropological Sciences (SASci) was organized to promote empirical research and social science in anthropology by examining the range of variation in human biology, society and culture, across time and space.

This is one of the best opportunities of the year to promote your titles on scientific anthropology, comparative and cross-cultural research, ethnography, cognitive anthropology and evolutionary approaches to anthropology to leading scholars and educators in the field seeking monographs and texts for research and course use.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

The Library of Social Science is organizing the entire publication exhibit for this event, which will be held in the main lobby of the hotel, adjacent to registration and coffee breaks. Our exhibit will be a major attraction of the conference, offering participants the opportunity to select from a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant book and journal titles encompassing all areas of anthropology and cross-cultural research.

Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site from the beginning of the conference to its conclusion. We actively promote your books by discussing them with conferees, distributing promotional material, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging attendees to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
