LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

8th Southern Association for Women Historians Conference on Women’s History
June 4-6, 2009
• Columbia, SC

LSSThe Southern Association for Women Historians (SAWH) is one of the fastest-growing and most prominent organizations providing a forum for women historians and the study of Southern and women’s history. SAWH believes that women's contributions to history have largely been ignored, and that writing their stories produces a fuller understanding of events.

With over 400 attendees expected at this exciting TRIENNIAL conference, this is the best meeting of the year to promote books and journals on Southern or women’s history to an influential audience of scholars and educators.

Space is limited. Please fill out and fax your reservation form as soon as possible to reserve a space for your press.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

The Library of Social Science book exhibit is once again organizing the combined book exhibit for the conference. Located at the center of the meeting space near registration and coffee breaks, the exhibit will offer attendees a unique opportunity to buy books from a comprehensive collection of titles from the major publishers. Scholars will review the current literature in a setting conducive to thoughtful evaluation for research and course use.

Our professional exhibit managers actively promote titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with conferees, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition. Attendees at this conference look for teaching and research materials on all aspects of Southern and women’s history. Please fill out and fax your reservation as soon as possible. Shipping information will follow.
