Psychological anthropology has emerged as one of the most innovative and exciting areas in the social sciences. SPA is the premiere organization studying the interaction between psychic and cultural factors in human development and behavior. This dynamic group of researchers and teachers uses a variety of approaches, including cognitive and developmental psychology, psycholinguistics, cross-cultural psychology and person-centered ethnography. SPA’s biennial meeting embraces a wide range of fields and topics, including medical anthropology, linguistic anthropology, anthropology of religion, child development, cognition, cultural psychology, globalization and mental health.
This year’s meeting will focus on psychological anthropology's relevance to contemporary problems and issues—from changing families, workplaces and communities to transnational institutions, world religions and international capitalism.
This is the best opportunity of the year to promote your titles to a prime market of scholars and teachers seeking monographs and texts for research and course use on the anthropology of religion; cultural and cognitive psychology; family, gender and sexuality; memory and trauma; narrative and identity; communications and community; globalization; and cultural factors in mental health issues.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT
The Library of Social Science is once again organizing the publication exhibition for the conference. Located at the center of the meeting site, our exhibit offers conferees a unique opportunity to buy books from a comprehensive collection of titles from the major publishers.
Our professional exhibit managers actively promote titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with attendees, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
