LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

2011 Conference and Annual Meeting of the
Society for U.S. Intellectual History (S-USIH): “Narratives”
CUNY Graduate Center, New York, NY •  November 17-18, 2011

Book Exhibit

The S-USIH conference promotes the interdisciplinary discussion of American intellectual history, fostering connections between scholars who share an interest in the ideas, institutions and thinkers who have influenced American political, scientific and cultural life. This year’s meeting will focus on how narratives—essential to the study of American thought—are constructed, catalogued and interpreted, and how they relate to other forms of expression such as argument or declaration.

This is the best meeting of the year to promote your titles to an enthusiastic, influential group of scholars—prodigious readers and book buyers—across the full range of intellectual history and traditions, historiography, politics, social movements and social criticism.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE’s book exhibit will once again be a central component of the S-USIH conference. Located at the heart of the meeting space—in CUNY Graduate Center’s Concourse alongside registration and coffee breaks—our exhibit will offer participants the opportunity to select from a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant books and journals in the fields of intellectual history and historiography.

Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site from the beginning of the conference to its conclusion. We actively promote your titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with conferees, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
