A Library of Social Science Call-for-Papers

Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to invite you to submit a proposal for the National Association for Ethnic Studies' 40th Annual National Conference. NAES provides an interdisciplinary forum for scholars and activists concerned with national and international dimensions of ethnicity, race, intergroup relations and the cultural life of minorities.

Their lively conference explores how race and ethnicity are characterized in popular media, education and politics. Among the topics examined at this year's anniversary meeting are: globalization and mobilization, social movements and transformation, methods and tools for teaching peace and justice, health equity and human rights, sovereignty, poverty, immigration and labor, the role of law and public policy in enhancing equality, and how the arts can be used for social justice and change.

We invite you to submit a proposal for the 2012 NAES meeting, being held April 5-7 in New Orleans, LA. — THE COMPLETE CALL FOR PAPERS APPEARS BELOW.

For more information on the conference, and instructions on how to submit a proposal, please click here.

The deadline is December 15, 2011.

We hope you will consider sending an abstract—and attending this exciting conference.
