Plenary Speakers include Sarah Leonard (The Nation), Jackson Lears (Raritan), Dan McCarthy (The American Conservative), Rachel Rosenfelt (The New Inquiry), Chloe Schama (The New Republic), Bhaskar Sunkara (Jacobin); Russell Jacoby (UCLA), Tim Goeglein (Focus on the Family), Jonathan Holloway (Yale University), Claire Potter (The New School), Leo Ribuffo (George Washington University); Taína Caragol (National Portrait Gallery), David Ferriero (Archivist of the United States), Eleanor Jones Harvey (Smithsonian American Art Museum) and Robert C. Post (Curator Emeritus, National Museum of American History). The Society’s exciting annual conference discusses intellectuals’ work, reception and influence—and how thinkers shape, and are shaped by, the communities in which they live.
