Dear Colleague,
LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE is organizing a book exhibit for the 2016 Eastern Sociological Society (ESS) annual meeting.
Approximately 2,000 professors, researchers and students are expected to attend, making it an excellent promotional opportunity for publishers.
ESS was founded in 1930 and is one of the largest sociological societies in the US. In addition to the latest research findings, this year’s meeting will discuss the current state of higher education: what is happening at universities and colleges, how they are becoming corporatized, how teaching is more and more being outsourced, and how students are increasingly seen as “customers” with faculty responsible for “product.”
As usual, books exhibited by LSS will be presented on tabletops, with each publisher’s books displayed face-out for maximum exposure.
With 2,000 attending, the ESS meeting is an excellent opportunity to promote your titles on all Sociology topics—and to introduce textbooks to attending professors. Publishers wishing to promote Sociology titles cannot afford to miss this exciting event.

The Library of Social Science book exhibit will be located at the center of the meeting space at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. The exhibit area is a traditional highlight of the meeting, encompassing registration, poster sessions, a lounge—in addition to exhibits and receptions—all ensuring a steady flow of visitors.
Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site throughout the entire conference. We actively promote your titles by discussing books with conferees, distributing flyers and catalogs, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
