Dear Colleague,
LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE is organizing a book exhibit for the joint international conference of the Community Development Society and the International Association for Community Development (CDS/IACD).
The annual CDS meeting offers a unique opportunity for researchers and practitioners—from the US and over 30 other countries—to share innovative strategies for sustainable development supporting positive, inclusive community change.
This year's joint meeting will be held with the International Association for Community Development (IACD)—the only global network for professional community development practitioners.
This is the best opportunity of the year to promote your titles on regional and community development, economics and education, public services, IT, health and housing, migration and civic engagement.
This year's Keynote and Plenary Speakers are Kathleen Annette (President and CEO, Blandin Foundation), Anita Paul (Director, Pan Himalayan Grass Roots Development Program), Mark Ritchie (Former Minnesota Secretary of State), Annette Dixon (World Bank Vice President, South Asia) and Richard M. Todd (Vice President, Community Development and Center for Indian Country Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis).
Space is limited. For details on exhibiting at the 2016 CDS/IACD conference, please email Hugh Galford by clicking here.
Attendees at the CDS/IACD conference seek titles on all aspects of development, including:
• Local & regional development
• Rural-urban relations
• Sustainability
• Economics
• Education |
• Housing and homelessness
• Migration and employment
• Civil society
• Sociology
• Health & wellbeing |
|
The Library of Social Science book exhibit will be located at the center of the meeting space, near coffee and registration. The book exhibit will be open to attendees throughout the meeting, ensuring a steady flow of visitors.
Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site for the entire conference. We actively promote your titles by discussing books with conferees, distributing flyers and catalogs, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
