This is a photo of me at age 22: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=404757307057&set=a.404757032057&type=3&theater
My best friends from grade school (who became an All-State Baseball player)--cannot fathom how I became so involved with Hitler: No connection with who I was.
Well, at a very young age, I studied with Norman O. Brown, Peter Berger, Ihab Hassan and Leslie Fiedler (don't know why I continually connected with great men).
I was trained at the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research by Dr. Nathan Brody, a well-known personality psychologist and rigorous experimentalist (why Hitler's Ideology is filled with all those tables).
My psychoanalyst had an MD, a PhD in biochemistry. and was head of the Psychiatry Department at Harvard University.
Given this background, I could not escape my fate. I had to become something other than who I was. I accepted the burden.
Best regards,
Richard Koenigsberg
PS: The photo was taken when a song that I composed was recorded by the Orlons: It was called WHERE YOU GOIN' LITTLE BOY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlTZOLBQvyg One of the few songs influenced by Erik Erikson ("I'm a mixed up kid, I done flipped my lid, I wonder what my daddy did.").
It made the Cashbox charts, but I had no talent in music, so Freud trumped Little Richard (although my personality is more like that of Little Richard than that of Freud). Nevertheless, I'm an expert on the history or rock 'n' roll, 1954-1980, perhaps know as much about Smokey Robinson as I do about Hitler.
