The ideology of the current United States President revolves around the idea that immigrants are invading and threatening to destroy the American body politic.

From the beginning, Donald Trump was passionate about building "a wall." This idea or fantasy moved him. He believed that immigrants--pathogenic micro-organisms--were invading the American body politic. For the nation to survive, these organisms had to be blocked from entering the United States

The fear of immigration is rooted in the fantasy of the United States as a vulnerable body in danger of being "infected" by alien organisms. Immigrants cannot be allowed to penetrate the body politic. Walls have to be built.
