The fundamental question revolves around the DYNAMIC of Donald Trump--in relationship to "America." What allows him to do what he does? Why he can be so brutal.

It's a new story within an old template: Good old "nationalism."

He's HUGGING THE AMERICAN FLAG in the photo below. Trump believes he is "at one" with the flag. This is why he can be "inhumane." He believes he is acting to RESCUE America. To "make America great again" is to overcome her "weakness."

He can get away with everything--because it's all done in the name of the FLAG--in the name of America--in the name of "the people."
