The Lie of "Male Aggression"

It's time to do away, once and for all, with the delusionary theory of MALE AGGRESSION, which seems to circulate in parts of the academic world (for example in the field of "evolutionary psychology)."

The opening scene of Saving Private Ryan is all you need to know. Perhaps the greatest depiction of warfare ever.  Please click through and take a look.

At the behest of General Eisenhower--in order to defeat the Nazi war machine--they are offering themselves to be slain.

General Sir John Hacket (no armchair warrior) explains battle as follows:

The military makes demands which few if any other callings do. And of course emotionally disturbed people talk about being trained to kill. The whole essence of being a soldier is not to slay but to be slain. You offer yourself up to be slain, rather than setting yourself as a slayer. Now one can get into very deep water here, but there’s food for thought in it.

How to explain the bizarre theories of "male aggression?" Human beings cannot bear to acknowledge the truly pathetic condition of soldiers. Theories of "male aggression" are a form of defense or resistance: to turn ABJECT SUBMISSION into a form of "masculinity."
