THE MOST PARSIMONIOUS EXPLANATION ACCOUNTING FOR THE FIRST WORLD WAR
Following up on the three LSS Newsletters that were published this morning, David Lloyd George (see below) provides the best explanation of what occurred in the First World War. He states that the War was conducted as if there was no limit to the number of young men who were "thrown into the furnace to feed the flames of war."
After one-thousand books and 3000 papers, this sums things out. It's the most parsimonious explanation. The First world war "shoveled warm human hearts and bodies by the millions into the furnace."
Copernicus replaces Ptolemy, and immediately we can abandon all of the convoluted explanations.
Of course, it's an unpleasant theory. So was Darwin's theory that human beings evolved from lower forms of animal life.
Actually, it is a more unpleasant theory--that accounts, however, for the empirical data.
