Endless streams of blood--created the phantasy of the eternality or immortality of the German nation. As long as German blood was flowing, the nation would "live on."
This is the essence of the "wet dream" of history; the wet dream of historians.
The history of the human race is characterized by endless wars. This has nothing to do with evolution or "survival." Warfare is counter-evolutionary, counter-biological: the production of "endless streams of blood" testifying to the existence of a "super-organic" domain of reality beyond everyday (temporal) existence.
