Since I've written so much about Hitler and Nazism, you probably have no idea of who I am.
The bedrock of my identity is that of an athlete
SEE PHOTO BELOW: the ending (climax) of the Essex County Cross-Country Championships, in which our team was victorious. I broke the Columbia High School record (12:30 for 2 1/2 miles).
I was awarded a full scholarship (room, board and tuition)--to a major track University.
I did run in Madison Square Garden when I was 17 years old. I could barely keep up with the star runners from Harvard, Princeton, etc. Knew that I would have to begin again at the beginning.
I didn't accept my scholarship, instead pursued a "liberal arts education" at an elite Eastern University. A curse and a blessing.
Long-distance running + a liberal arts education: where I is now.
