I am well aware of the shibboleth: each event occurs within a specific historical context and has a "unique" cause. Scholars write endless texts describing how each event came about.

However, the most significant result of these episodes of war and genocide are dead bodies. 

What all this reflects is the profound pathology of the human race, or psychopathology if you wish to get technical.

Yet nothing about this psychopathology in the psychiatry textbooks. Profound denial of this psychopathology; denial of who human beings are and what they have done. 

The psychopathology of the human race--the endless production of mass death. And the other side of the coin of this pathology: pretending this is not psychopathology: just human beings "doing their thing."
