Nazism as Psychotic Fantasy (Joseph Goebbels)

The current Library of Social Science Mailing List consists of 7449 people. For the past ten years, we've been mailing out Newsletter to the people on this list. I count 2490 issues of the LSS Newsletter that we've distributed during this period of time.

As Roger Griffin and I move in the direction of creating, organizing and consolidating our "Consortium/Think Tank to Study Violent Political Extremism (war, genocide, terrorism"), I'm developing a much shorter list that allows for a higher level of intimacy, more interaction, and a space to allow people to contribute their own views and insights.

Many of you I've meet at conferences (when I was a book exhibit manager), some of you have published essays for our Newsletter, others are on this list because I note that you "open" (and I assume read our Newsletter)--with great frequency. Some of you receiving this note have opened the Newsletter--in the past several years--as many as 4000 times.

In the future, I'll be focusing our Newsletter mailings on you. It has been gratifying as an author to know that many people read my missives. But I long for feedback, interaction, and to receive the views of other people. We'll be inviting reaction and commentary.

The names below are eighteen people who have been reading our Newsletter for a substantial period of time. I've highlighted these names because these people may be well-known to many of you. The other 163 people who are receiving this mailing (out of our mailing list of 7449 people) may be equally great.
