I) We will establish a group of established and insightful academics to understand the psychodynamics of collective forms of violent political extremism.
II). We will set up virtual Zoom meetings with members of the group—to discuss creating a consortium/think-tank independent of any academic, religious. commercial or government institution—to be funded by a benefactor with humanistic ideals. The purpose of this THINK-TANK will be twofold:
A) to produce joint analyses, statements, comments, bulletins on issues and events in which acts or movements of violent political extremism are involved--highlighting their psychological and ideological dynamics.
B) to produce independent reports for and to consult on such issues for institutions and the media.
(IV) The name of the consortium (possibly an acronym) and its core principles/mission statement will be decided among its founding members.
(V) Once a solid plan emerges—based on preliminary virtual
meetings—we will approach potential benefactors with the
proposal.
