Much of the Twentieth Century was a reign of "post-truth," or as I call it, shared psychotic fantasy. Many believed or assumed that the political regimes that dominated the Twentieth Century were aberrations. 

Now we can begin to understand that these political regimes were not aberrations. The absence of truth--the presence of psychotic fantasies that generated mass-murder--were the norm.

Now we  begin to glimmer another psychotic fantasy that dominated the Twentieth Century: the belief that human political action is dominated by rationality. The cheerful textbooks ignore the fact that 300 million people were slaughtered in the 20th Century as a result of genocidal regimes of mass-murder.
