What is occurring now reminds us that the politics of an entire society can be under the spell of a psychotic delusion. Yet perhaps it has always been the case that societies have been under the spell of psychotic delusions. Mass-murder as normative.
The pretense that the domain of politics constitutes a SEPARATE REALM OF BEING. As if it was not WE HUMAN BEINGS who created this psychotic world.
The pretense that there is a separate domain of being that has nothing to do with us. It's "out there," therefore "objective reality." Nothing to do with us. It happens on its own. A dream screen that scrolls on independent of human beings. NOT US. It's culture, society, the symbolic order, like God or Christ descending upon us from up above.
The fundamental delusion that maintains and sustains the entire "spear chuckin' scene:" we are not the creators of what exist.
Richard Koenigsberg
PS: And where are the psychiatrists and psychoanalysts and clinical psychologists to analyze this massive psychosis, i. e., normative political regimes of the Twentieth Century.
Ah, if everyone does something, it can't be pathological: a "rule" established by the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION: created by a few human beings in the struggle to protect us from knowing who we are.
Equivalent to a saying that "heart disease" or "cancer" are not forms of pathology--because so many people get these diseases.
