The fundamental delusion in the analysis of war is that it has something to do with the biological desire to kill. Soldiers don't "enjoy" killing. They don't get off on it. All the evidence points in this direction.
The purpose of battle and warfare is to get the representative of the other nation to die. He has to die because he represents an alternative sacred object. In the First World War, some men worshipped Great Britain, others worshipped France, while others worshipped Germany. There can be only one true god. Killing means destroying those who don't believe in the one true god.
Warfare does not have a concept of cultural relativity. There can be only ONE TRUTH, one god. If Germany is the ONE GOD, then France cannot be god, nor can Great Britain.
War is undertaken to PROVE WHICH ENTITY IS THE ONE TRUE GOD. It's not a matter of biology or genes. It's getting the OTHER GUY TO DIE BECAUSE HE BELIEVES IN A FALSE GOD, not your god.
Warfare and terrorism function according to the same dynamic: DEATH TO THE NON-BELIEVER. The other must die because he doesn't believe in your god, thus negating the meaning of existence.
Warfare is a highly abstract form of activity. "Killing" is spiritual, not biological: kill those whose very existence contradicts or negates your own sacred ideal, thus depriving one's existence of meaning.
