Koenigsberg's Lecture at California State University (excerpt)

(SCROLL DOWN FOR INFORMATION)

Though he wrote and said absurd things throughout his
life, the Holocaust arose out of a coherent body of thought developed by Hitler and conveyed to his colleagues and the German people. These ideas were promoted through speeches, mass rallies, scholarly papers, articles in Newspapers, movies, documentaries and many other vehicles.

By coherent I do not mean rational. Throughout history, human beings  have produced bodies of thought that do not describe the empirical world, for example religious doctrines that societies have created and spread throughout the
centuries—that rarely represent accurate descriptions of
reality. Among these coherent but non-rational religious ideas are the Christian belief in heaven and hell; the idea that devils exist beneath the surface of the earth; and the belief that
wine and a wafer constitute the blood and body of Christ.
