JEWS SYMBOLIZED HITLER'S OWN DESIRE FOR SEPARATION FROM THE GERMAN COMMUNITY
"Hitler dreamt of an absolutely united Germany. The other side
of the coin of this dream was his idea that some people were hostile to his dream of unity. Hitler raged against these people: 'Death to the non-believers'.
"The objective of mass rallies was to create the
experience and feeling of thousands of people united to create
a single body. Lurking in the back of Hitler’s mind, however,
was his feeling that some people were hostile to his dream. Hitler was determined to root out these people. Jews were identified as party-poopers, the anti-thesis of German unity.
"I theorize Jews symbolized Hitler’s own wish for separateness or individuality, which he repressed or denied within himself; refused to acknowledge. What’s more, I hypothesize, ambivalence lies at the heart of all nationalistic movements. If there is a quest for absolute unity, there is another force symbolized by an “enemy”--standing in
opposition to this dream."
