Koenigsberg's Lecture at California State University
(Conclusion)
The Final Solution.
"There was a hit song, Where the boys are. For Hitler, this song might have been sung, “Where the Jews are.” This was the basis of his attack on the Soviet Union. Hitler wished to locate every Jew on the planet so he could kill every Jew on the planet. This was the meaning of 'world conquest'.
"Killing Jews represented Hitler’s struggle to destroy
that part of himself, the Jewish part, which rebelled against
the impulse to fuse with the community. Hitler refused to acknowledged this part of himself, projecting the desire for separateness into the Jew. He then tried to kill off the desire
to separate from Germany by killing Jews.
"The desire to separate from the community was the
voice of the Jew within Hitler. But no matter how many Jews
he killed, Hitler could not kill this Jewish voice within himself.
He could not destroy his desire to become a separate
individual. A “Final Solution” was not in the cards. Only by committing suicide did Hitler finally achieve separation. For Hitler, his own death constituted the Final Solution."
