HOW THE MIND WORKS:

CONCEPTS & CASES IN PSYCHOANALYSIS AND PSYCHOTHERAPY

Kevin & Vamik Volkan

A NOTE FROM PROFESSOR KEVIN VOLKAN: "My third book (second one authored with my dad) will be published this month. It is available for preorder now. It’s is basically a primer on Freudian psychoanalytic concepts illustrated by various cases. We tried to be ‘non-denominational’ within the Freudian world, giving what we think of as a sort of ‘average’ of how Freudian analysts and psychotherapists think and how this thinking is applied to real people. I think it will be useful for students of psychoanalysis. I taught from it last semester my doctoral students about and they seemed to get a lot out of it."
