Description: In this video we are going to explore the most dangerous of all psychic epidemics, the mass psychosis. A mass psychosis is an epidemic of madness and it occurs when a large portion of a society loses touch with reality and descends into delusions. Such a phenomenon is not a thing of fiction. Two examples of mass psychoses are the American and European witch hunts 16th and 17th centuries and the rise of totalitarianism in the 20th century.
KOENIGSBERG: What I've been calling "collective psychosis" for many years. Seemed like a crazy idea. DONALD TRUMP has open the floodgates and now we can begin to see HISTORY in a new way. If we are immersed now in a mass psychosis (and we all can feel this), what about the Nazi period--wasn't that a mass-psychosis? And what about Russia under Stalin (and Putin today)? And what about China under Mao? And what about the First World War, wasn't that insane?
Yet the historians write (wrote) about all of these events as if they were "normal." It's "history." If it happened, then it's normal. HOW CAN ONE SAY THAT WHAT IS NORMAL IS PSYCHOTIC? Now we can begin so say this. The political history of the Twentieth Century as mass-psychosis. REVISIONISM. Seeing things in a new way. Let the work begin.
