ROGER GRIFFIN: Is Fascism mad or pathological? Richard Koenigsberg
The great historian Roger Griffin summaries some of his ideas on his webpage. He discusses the “motivations for fascism” and says that since so many millions were involved in Nazism and the Holocaust, this "CAN’T BE EXPLAINED IN TERMS OF MADNESS OR PATHOLOGY" (caps are his not mine)
I don't get this; don't understand the logic. Is he saying, a priori, that when millions of people engage in a murderous social movement, this cannot be deemed, a priori, mad or pathological?
