FOUNDATION FOR THE STUDY OF POLITICAL PSYCHOSIS

History is written in two lines: the blood of the martyr and ink of the scholar
(Abdullah Azzam)

According to Azzam (see below), first you create cripples and corpses (the blood of martyrs) then the historian writes about human beings who have been slaughtered. Thus, "History" is written in two lines: "the ink of the scholar and the blood of the martyr."

This is true in the West as well: a record of those who have been slaughtered ("history books") brings ideologies into existence. We witness societal acts of murder, then assume slaughter must have occurred in the name of "some thing."

Richard A. Koenigsberg

Abdullah Azzam: “The life of the Moslem Ummah (the community of believers) is written with two lines: the ink of the scholar and the blood of the martyrs. The price of glory, honor and respect grows out of a foundation of cripples and corpses; out of seas of one's own blood and the sweet and blood of those around him."
