ST. PAUL AND THE ORIGIN OF SEXUAL REPRESSION IN WESTERN CIVILIZATION

Passages selected by Koenigsberg
St. Paul:
Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you obey its lusts. When we were in the flesh the sinful passions were at work in our members so that they brought forth fruit unto death. I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, no good dwells. The wisdom of the flesh is hostile to God, for it is not subject to the law of God, nor can it be.

The sensual man does not perceive the things that are of the Spirit of God. It is good for man not to touch woman. We should not lust after evil things even as they lusted. For the flesh lusts against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you would. No fornicator, or unclean person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
