The core of Hitler’s Ideology is its methodology. I present support for my proposition in tabular form.

Based on a close reading of Hitler's language in Mein Kampf and his speeches, I discovered the recurrence of specific bodily images and phrases. The central metaphor binding the images and phrases together was the idea of the German nation as a "living organism."

I present my data in 32 Tables (the titles of these Tables are directly below).

Table 1, “The Country is a Living Organism.” Hitler states that "In place of the State must be set the living organism—the people;” and “The German people had become a body corporate pulsing through and through with a vital inner life.”

Table 3, "The Disintegration of the National Body." Hitler claims that the Jew was "a ferment of decomposition among people" and in the broader sense a "dissolver of human culture.”

I presented my findings in tabular form to clarify and simplify the data. Each table enables readers to evaluate the evidence that gave rise to—supported—a specific interpretation.

My book represents an empirical study of the relationship between Hitler’s metaphors and his ideology. I show how Hitler’s phantasies, projected into the world, shaped his beliefs, perception of reality and behavior.
