TO BE REMEMBERED:
 The Purpose of Political Mass-Murder

Which historical figure produced the most corpses?

ABSTRACT: The purpose of political mass-murder is to be "remembered." Mass-murderers have historians by the balls.

Mass-murders are "made men." They have been accepted into the club (or failing, as Lenin put it, they  fall into the "dustbin of history").

The observer effect in psychology, known as the Hawthorne effect, refers to subjects in an experiment altering their behavior when they become aware that an experimenter is watching them.

The Hawthorne effect lies at the heart of the historical process, particularly when it comes to mass-murderer. Mass-murderers know where their bread is buttered, are acutely aware of historians and history books. They want to "go down in history."

Michael Vlahos calls the "History Channel" the "Hitler Channel." And with the Internet, there are thousands of videos featuring the lives and deeds of the men in the photos above. They are "stars."

Hitler had a clear ideology and killed because he believed killing was necessary.

Stalin killed enemies, friends, whomever he felt like killing. A paranoid schizophrenic, but this term rarely is used by historians, who prefer not to allow psychology to enter the picture.  They were mass-murderers and thus worthy of being "written up in history books."

What's more, everything they did was done in the name of their "country."

"Counties are super-egos that allow anything. If an individual in society kills a few people, he is deemed a psychopath and a criminal and goes to jail, is executed, or sent to a mental institution.

If a politician murders millions of people, he becomes a "historical figure."

They were honored and revered by their fellow-country-men-and-women.

Without a beloved mother country, mass-murder can't happen (the mother of the man who killed JFK penned a book, A Mother in History).

"MADE IT MA, TOP OF THE WORLD."

But no one knows what "countries" are or why we allow them to kill. Scholars deconstruct nearly everything. But "countries" reign supreme. No one wishes to explore the question of why Nations have the Right to Kill.
