Is American Politics descending into psychosis? We don't mean the psychosis of individuals, but a collective psychosis and will to destroy the United States and the American political system.

In a discussion several months ago on CBS Television (click link), commentators confronted psychotic political views, such as the desire to do away with the polio vaccine.

Or shall we say that the political regime that has come into being is dominated by the will to destroy the American system of government--under the guise of a return to "greatness."

Who could have imagined that the nation of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, JFK and Ronald Reagan could descend into a will to destroy the ideals that have held firm for 250 years (click link).

We've observed many examples in history of political leaders and governments descending into madness, destruction and self-destruction.

Is it now happening here?
