Well-known mass-murderers

The conventional vies is that political leaders or historical actors "do things," then what they do is recorded by historians, thus we "remember" these historical actors.

Among the most remembered historical figures are mass-murderers.

These men kill in order to be remembered. They do not wish to fall into the "dustbin of history." There is a symbiotic relationship between historians and mass-murderers.

Mass-murderers are acutely aware that their deeds will be recorded by historians. They performed mass-murder in order to have their deeds recorded in history books. Mass-murderers and historians collaborate.

The relationship between mass-murderers and historians is a symbiotic one. Killing to be remembered; to be written up in history books.

Hitler did not succeed in "conquering the world." Still, he is among the most written about (remembered) historical actors.

To "make it big" as an historical actor, one kills a lot of people, enemies or one's own people.

One kills in the name of (for the sake of) one's country. One's "country" provides the rationale or justification for mass-murder. One becomes famous (is written up in history books) by killing a large number of people.

Nations or countries are historical actors, led by men whose nations gave their leader the right to kill.
