"The purpose of warfare is to create tombstones honoring the dead."

The purpose of war is to create tombstones. We create a transcendent realm by virtue  of endless suffering & dying. This is what we mean when we say “history:” suffering and dying for a sacred idea or ideal (Koenigsberg's Law of Sacrifice).

War is not meaningless---because its purpose is to create tombstones testifying to the existence of a realm of being beyond concrete existence.
